The Beginning

For as long as I can remember, I struggled with my weight.

Even as a child, I was deeply aware of being “bigger.”

My parents enrolled me in dance classes when I was very young, and I remember feeling incredibly embarrassed wearing a bodysuit and leotards beside the other girls. I felt exposed and uncomfortable in my body long before I was old enough to understand why.

At around five years old, I remember asking if I could wear a sweatshirt over top to cover myself.

Years later, I shared that memory with my niece, and she quietly told me she used to do the exact same thing as a child.

That realization stayed with me.

Because it made me realize I was never the only little girl carrying those feelings.

So many of us learn shame, self-consciousness, and disconnection from our bodies at such a young age — long before we ever begin dieting.

As I got older, the bullying and shame around my weight continued, and by my teenage years I became consumed by the idea of losing weight and finally feeling accepted.

Over time, my focus on weight loss became obsessive.

I developed an eating disorder and began struggling with bulimia. The weight came off quickly, and for the first time in my life, I noticed how differently people treated me. My confidence changed. I finally felt “good enough.” I finally felt seen.

But underneath it all, I was struggling deeply.

My energy levels became so low that some days I could barely function. When people asked how I lost the weight, I told them I was simply eating well and exercising. I was terrified that anyone would find out what was really happening.

One night during a sleepover with a friend, I finally admitted what I had been doing. She took it very seriously, and shortly afterward I went to my doctor and opened up about everything. I was eventually prescribed medication to help reduce the urges and begin recovering.

The Never-Ending Cycle

By my early twenties, the bulimia had stopped — but the weight returned.

At my wedding at 26 years old, I weighed around 210 pounds at 5’3”. I felt defeated and trapped in an endless cycle.

Over the years, I tried everything:

Fad diets, strict plans, starting over, quick fixes, “good” weeks followed by falling off track again.

I would often lose 20 or 30 pounds, only for the weight to come back again.

No matter what approach I tried, the cycle repeated itself.

It felt exhausting.

At times, I felt like I was fighting myself constantly — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

I eventually began exercising more consistently and changing the way I ate. I saw progress, but deep down I realized something important:

The real struggle was never just food.

It was the patterns underneath it all.

I realized I didn’t need another diet.

I needed to understand why my patterns kept repeating.

Understanding the Subconscious Mind

I began a deep dive into what was really driving my behaviors, habits, and relationship with food.

I became a Certified Nutrition Practitioner to better understand how to properly nourish and support my body — but I also discovered something much deeper:

Nutrition alone was not the missing piece.

I began learning about the subconscious mind and how so much of our behavior is shaped beneath conscious awareness.

The subconscious mind stores our learned beliefs, emotional patterns, habits, coping mechanisms, and identity. In many ways, it acts like the internal program we operate from — influencing our reactions, choices, and behaviors often without us even realizing it.

I started recognizing how many of my eating patterns were connected to deeper conditioning:

Shame, self-worth, emotional survival, stress, perfectionism, and years of unconscious beliefs about myself and my body.

I also learned that these patterns are not permanent.

Through nervous system regulation, subconscious reconditioning techniques, mindset work, self-awareness, behavior change practices, and learning to approach myself with compassion instead of punishment, my relationship with food slowly began to change.

The Shift

For the first time in my life, I stopped fighting myself.

I began learning how to nourish my body from a place of self-respect rather than self-loathing.

I learned how to identify the patterns and habits that had been quietly driving my outcomes for years.

I learned how to calm my nervous system instead of constantly living in stress, pressure, and survival mode.

And over time, something deeper shifted:

My identity changed.

I no longer saw myself as someone who was “stuck,” “broken,” or destined to struggle forever.

I began becoming someone who felt healthy, capable, confident, active, and connected to herself.

That transformation did not happen overnight.

It took years of learning, healing, reflection, and rebuilding.

And that is exactly why I created Reconnecting From Within.

Why I Created Reconnecting From Within

I created the program I wish had existed years earlier — one designed to help individuals begin reshaping the subconscious patterns, beliefs, emotional habits, and nervous system responses that keep them stuck in cycles of struggle.

Because lasting change does not come from fighting yourself harder.

It comes from understanding yourself deeply enough to finally change from the inside out.

Eventually, something began to shift.

For the first time in my life, I was able to maintain a healthy, sustainable weight without constantly feeling like I was fighting myself.

But more importantly, I finally began feeling at peace.

Food no longer controlled my thoughts the way it once had.

I stopped living in cycles of guilt, obsession, restriction, and starting over.

I learned how to eat in a way that felt supportive instead of punishing.

I still enjoy dessert.

I still eat the foods I love.

But now I do so mindfully, intentionally, and with a sense of connection to my body rather than disconnection from it.

What changed wasn’t just my weight.

It was my relationship with myself.

I no longer viewed health through the lens of shame, self-criticism, or trying to become “good enough.”

I learned how to nourish myself from a place of self-respect, awareness, and compassion.

And over time, the constant internal battle began to quiet.

For the first time in my life, I no longer felt like I was fighting against myself every day.

That is the transformation I want for others too.

Not just temporary weight loss — but freedom from the cycle.

A calmer mind.

A healthier body.

A regulated nervous system.

A supportive relationship with food.

And a deeper sense of peace within yourself.

This is not about perfection, punishment, or rigid dieting.

It is about understanding yourself deeply enough to finally create lasting change from the inside out.

Inside the 12-week journey, you’ll receive the tools, practices, guidance, and support to begin reconnecting with your body, your mind, and yourself in a more compassionate and sustainable way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Still wondering if Reconnecting From Within is right for you? Here are some of the most common questions I receive.

What is Reconnecting From Within?

This program is a gentle, 12-week journey designed to help you reconnect with your body, your patterns, and your relationship with food.
It is not about strict rules or dieting — it is about building awareness, trust, and lasting, sustainable change from within.

My name is Evette, and I am the Founder of Inner Evolution Mindful Nutrition and Fitness and creator of Reconnecting From Within.

I’m a Certified Nutrition Practitioner and Certified Personal Trainer.

Losing weight was never my struggle. Keeping it off was. And more than that — learning to actually trust my body, stop the mental battle around food, and build a relationship with eating that felt calm instead of exhausting. That’s what I couldn’t find anywhere.

Every program I came across gave me more rules, more tracking, more ways to “be better.” What I needed was something completely different — a way to understand why my patterns kept repeating, and how to actually change them from the inside out.

So I built it.

Reconnecting From Within is everything I wish had existed — the behaviour change tools, the nervous system support, the simple nutrition framework, and the mindset work that actually moves the needle. In a way that fits into real life.

This program is for individuals who:

  • feel overwhelmed by nutrition information
  • have struggled with cycles of dieting or inconsistency
  • want a more grounded, sustainable approach to health
  • are ready to build a supportive relationship with food, their body, and themselves

This program may not be the right fit if you are:

  • looking for a strict meal plan or rigid structure
  • focused only on quick weight loss
  • not open to reflection or behavior change

Yes.

This program is designed to support you whether you are using a GLP-1 medication or not.

It focuses on:

  • building awareness
  • understanding your patterns
  • reconnecting with your body
  • creating sustainable habits

These foundations are supportive in either case.

If you are using a GLP-1 medication, this program can help you:

  • stay connected to your body’s signals
  • maintain balanced nourishment
  • build habits that support long-term success

This program is not a replacement for medical care.

If you are working with a healthcare provider, continue to follow their guidance.

A dedicated GLP-1 Support Guide is also included to help you navigate this in a supportive and informed way.

While my own journey included an eating disorder, this program was created for anyone who struggles with food, emotional eating, starting over repeatedly, self-sabotage, body image concerns, food guilt, or feeling disconnected from their body. You do not need to have experienced an eating disorder to benefit from this program.

No. This program is educational and coaching-based. It is not therapy and is not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions. However, many participants find the reflection exercises, awareness practices, and mindset work supportive alongside professional care when appropriate.

Many of our daily behaviors are driven by habits, beliefs, emotional patterns, and automatic responses that operate below conscious awareness. While information is important, lasting change often happens when we begin understanding and reshaping the patterns that drive our decisions. This program combines practical nutrition guidance with tools designed to increase awareness and support sustainable behavior change.

Yes. Many people join with a weight-loss goal. Rather than focusing on restriction or quick fixes, this program helps you build the habits, awareness, mindset, and consistency that support sustainable results. Weight loss may occur, but the primary focus is creating a healthy relationship with food and yourself that lasts.

Most days require about 5–20 minutes.
Some days may feel shorter, and others may invite deeper reflection — but consistency matters more than time.

On average, you may spend 1–2 hours per week, spread out in a way that fits your life.

This program is not about doing everything perfectly — it is about showing up consistently in small, manageable ways.

Most programs focus on what to eat.

This program focuses on:

  • how you think
  • how you respond
  • how you relate to food and yourself

Instead of giving you more rules, it helps you understand your patterns so that change becomes natural and sustainable.

Many people notice:

  • reduced food and thought noise
  • more clarity around hunger and fullness
  • less guilt around eating
  • improved consistency
  • a more supportive inner dialogue

Each week follows a simple, supportive structure:

  • an affirmation
  • a weekly intention
  • a lesson
  • a focus practice
  • a nourishment habit
  • reflection exercises
  • a guided meditation or hypnosis

No.

This program does not use rigid meal plans or tracking.

Instead, it provides guidance to help you build balanced, flexible eating patterns that work for you.

Tools like the Circle Method are available if you want support building awareness, but are not required.

No. There are three movement programs with instructions. The movement programs are there to support you, but they are completely optional.

This program was created for that exact experience.

Instead of giving you another plan to follow, it helps you understand:

  • why patterns repeat
  • what is driving your behaviors
  • how to create change from the inside out

You are not alone.

This program is designed to:

  • meet you where you are
  • keep things simple and manageable
  • help you build consistency gradually over time

While this program is designed to be self-guided and supportive on its own, additional coaching support is available if you feel you would benefit from more personalized guidance.

Coaching can provide:

  • deeper support with your individual patterns
  • personalized feedback and guidance
  • accountability and structure
  • a space to ask questions and explore challenges

If you are interested in coaching, you can learn more on the Coaching page.

Reconnecting From Within is currently being offered at a Founding Member price while I continue growing the program and gathering feedback. My goal is to make it accessible to those who need it while building a supportive community. This pricing will not remain available indefinitely.

You Don’t Need To Keep Starting Over

If you’re ready to build a calmer, more supportive relationship with food, your body, and yourself, I’d love to welcome you inside.
